OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Qualifications & training:

Bsc (hons) Occupational Therapy

I studied at London South Bank University and my career thus far has entailed working as an Occupational Therapist working across several NHS Trusts in a range of services including specialist neurological rehabilitation.

I have a key interest in paediatric practice and intend to specialise in this area with WCT. I have completed Sensory Integration Levels 1, 2 and 3. I am also a qualified Therapeutic Listening practitioner.

I am passionate about the connection between the mind and body within her role, and believes that these should never and can never be separated for the children and young people that we work with.

Areas of interest:

  • Sensory integration
  • Autism
  • Hemiplegia
  • Acquired and traumatic brain injury
  • Oncology and haematology

Fun fact– Some of my previous OT experience with children has included working alongside some of the UKs top magicians, enabling children to learn how to do magic tricks to improve their upper limb function!
